For an active leak, storm opening, missing shingles, flat-roof membrane split, or replacement question, call first. A short phone conversation lets the operator confirm the address, roof type, visible damage, roof height, interior symptoms, safety concerns, and whether a temporary dry-in is needed before a full inspection.
Do not climb a wet, icy, or wind-damaged roof for photos. From a safe place, note where water is showing inside, whether the issue followed heavy rain or wind, and whether the roof has asphalt, slate, cedar, metal, or rubber sections.
